The intention of this material is to initiate a change in the common belief system that can benefit millions of people. It is possible to learn how to not have headaches.

In the US and Canada, about one in every six adults suffers from migraine headaches. This statistic equates to about 50 million Americans and 5 million Canadians whose lives are influenced by periodic and repetitive pain in their head. Around the world there are millions more. You may be one of them, or know someone who is.

For twenty-two years I suffered from intense migraine headaches. Now I don’t. I have learned how to not have headaches by stopping them before they begin. I don’t require medication or special treatments. I simply stopped having headaches. Over the next few months I will attempt to teach the skills that led to such a wonderful transformation. Can you imagine what it would be like to never have headaches again?

My journey was not easy. It took years of migraines and continuous learning before I stopped having headaches. When I succeeded, it was wonderful. For about a year I had no pain. I was excited about my progress and began putting together material for a book. Then the headaches returned.

Over the next couple of years there were long periods without headaches combined with short periods of intense headaches. I would have a headache every day for three weeks, and then none for three months. Having great desire to eliminate headaches entirely, I decided to turn each headache into a learning experience.

What I learned is that there are intellectual, emotional, behavioral and psychological elements that contribute to headaches. By identifying each element and addressing it, my habitual behavior began to change and the headaches began to diminish. Soon I was totally free from headaches.

Over the next few months my intention is to release weekly articles that teach the skill of eliminating headaches without medication. Each week will include a discussion of a topic and a participative exercise. My hope is that those who follow through the exercises can comment and share what they learn on the discussion boards. If you can learn to eliminate headaches from your life, it proves to others that the possibility exists.

I truly understand the pain of migraine headaches and hope that some readers can apply these concepts and change their lives. You must take responsibility for your own healing and self-empowerment. Your journey of self-discovery can lead to the elimination of headache pain.

Let the journey begin…
